The Holy Orthodox Church in North America is under the jurisdiction of the Synod of Bishops of the True Orthodox Church of Greece (Archbishop Auxentios).

Our Church in North America consists of three Metropolitan Dioceses. Metropolitan Ephraim is the ruling bishop of Boston and Bishop Demetrios Metropolitan Makarios is the ruling bishop of Toronto. Metropolitan Moses is the ruling bishop of Seattle and Bishop Sergios is his suffragan.

This Synod follows the Julian Calendar and opposes all changes which are undertaken in the name of Ecumenism or Modernism. The faithful in North America come from a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds. English is the primary language of worship in most HOCNA Parishes, Missions, and Monasteries. There are some parishes that use either Church Greek or Church Slavonic.
